Learning by Design Program Seeks Volunteers The AIANH Education Committee has a very busy season coming up with programs slated at many schools throughout the State. We are in need of volunteers to work with fourth grade students on these programs: Shoebox Clubhouse, Neighborhood Walking Tours, and Box City. We will train you and we have curriculums already developed. The commitment entails approximately three classroom sessions over a period of three weeks plus the training session. Previous volunteers are still involved and report that this is a very rewarding experience! If you are interested, please contact Education Committee Chair Bruce Hamilton AIA, 603-878-4823, bhamilton@brharch.com. See more about our Learning by Design Program at: www.aianh.org/lbd.asp.

AIANH AIA150 Update: Project Nearing Final Stages The Mill Plaza Study Committee in Durham is getting ready to present recommendations to the Durham Town Council in April. The report recommendations are the result of more than a year of effort including, public meetings, focus groups, workshops with Durham citizens, and the pro-bono efforts of our AIA150 Design Teams.
The AIA150 Task Force and Partners (AIANH, PlanNH, The Jordan Institute, GSLA, NH Preservation Alliance) are also working to complete the video of this unique consensus-building process. The video will provide a template for quality community development that attempts to engage all of the stakeholders in the process from the beginning. The video will serve as a tool to share the process with other communities.
Funds are still needed to complete the video and we hope you will consider contributing. Contributions can be sent to the AIANH Office at PO Box 398, Keene, NH 03431. Thank you for your help! For more information on NH's AAI150 project go to: www.aianh.org/aia_150.asp.
