2021 Education Week + Annual Meeting

AIA New Hampshire is offering our annual, year-end education program, broken into 3 afternoon sessions during a week in December. This year, again, this program will be entirely remote. This series focuses on firm practice of architecture in today's world and the business of effective firm management.  We will bring thought-leaders in these areas to AIA New Hampshire to share their experience and insights.

Register for all three sessions with a single $20 fee for all.  You will receive an email with three invitation links, one for each session.

SESSION ONE
The Risks and Protections in Design Contracts
Monday, December 13, 4 – 5PM
Kenneth E. Rubinstein, Attorney, Preti Flaherty

This course will discuss the key issues that should be included within design contracts, regardless of whether you use a standard form (like an AIA contract) or a customized template.  We will discuss key concepts such as payment terms, indemnity, limitation of liability, and consequential damages, so that architects can understand how to best protect themselves.  We will also discuss the role of insurance in these contracts as architects look to evaluate and allocate risk.

SESSION TWO
Annual Meeting 4-4:20PM
Selecting and Cultivating Strategic Clients

Wednesday, December 15, 4:20 – 5:50PM
Cameron Poole, Poole Professional LLC, A Brown & Brown Company
