History
Founded in 1940, the New Hampshire Chapter of the American Institute of Architects (AIANH) is a not-for-profit professional-service association of over 300 architects, allied professionals, and laypeople who are committed to excellence in design and creating a sustainable environment in our buildings, neighborhoods, towns, and cities.
The mission of the AIA New Hampshire is to elevate the profession of architecture and inspire architects to build a better New Hampshire with a vision to create stronger, equitable and sustainable communities.
AIANH provides the architecture community with the resources and relationships to make a difference through design and keeps our members and the public informed about the value of great design as the key ingredient for livable, sustainable communities.
Our members are committed to a set of values embraced by the American Institute of Architects such as upholding the highest professional standards, displaying a commitment to lifelong learning, working for community health and holding the interests of clients paramount. An AIA-affiliated practitioner is the right choice for those seeking building and project-development design services.
