Sheldon Pennoyer Architects (SPA), based in Concord, New Hampshire, is an award -winning design studio specializing in the design of regionally appropriate single-family or multi-generational homes; and institutions that are well integrated with their surrounding landscapes. Sustainability and energy-efficient design solutions are a main focus of our design philosophy. We are seeking our next Project Architect or Project Designer to become a valuable member of our team.
ABOUT THIS POSITION
The applicant must have 7 - 12 years of experience, ideally working with high-end residential and/or wood-framed institutional projects. Our design studio thrives on adaptable professionals who can see a project through from start to finish, through all phases of design and construction, with collaboration with the Principal. Applicants should be self-motivated within a collaborative environment, with strong creative design and technical skills. We are greatly interested in candidates who see value in the growth opportunities in a small firm environment, and have the desire to grow professionally. An enthusiastic and positive attitude is essential!
Requirements:
Bachelors or Masters Degree in Architecture + On path to completion of licensure (AXP/ARE). Registration a plus but not required. + Solid knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD skills are required, Photoshop & Bluebeam preferred, and rendering skills are a plus.
Experience with residential, institutional, and wood construction documentation and detailing.
Experience and knowledge in sustainability and energy-efficient design preferred. + Must be a strong communicator and collaborator, willing to work with the Principle, clients, and contractors on multiple projects simultaneously.
Ability to travel to job site and client meetings.
