The ARCHITECT/DESIGNER will be responsible for the production of construction documents in accordance with relevant codes, the firm’s drafting standards and the teams design concepts. The position will include making site visits and coordinating with project consultants.

Specific responsibilities encompass all aspects of architectural and interior design services including programming, conceptual design utilizing hand sketches and 3D computer modeling, design, development and coordination of documents utilizing Revit, construction administration (office and field responsibilities), and specifications development. The Ideal Candidate should have:

About the Role 

The Marketing Coordinator at Placework will lead our external communications, working collaboratively with the team and Principals to craft and tell a compelling story about our work. The Marketing Coordinator will develop engaging content for our website, blog posts, and marketing materials and manage the day-to-day operation of our social media platforms. kcs ARCHITECTS is now in its eighth year as a creative and award-winning woman-owned firm located in Southwestern NH. The firm’s capabilities are wide-ranging, servicing the needs of municipal, commercial, industrial, educational, retail and residential clientele. Our sound position in the market has led to increased demand for our services.

Our firm is seeking a Designer or an Architect in training. Candidates that apply ought to have more than 3 years of experience, working in the architectural field. The ideal candidate will be interested in growing with the firm to a project manager type role.

Qualified candidates should demonstrate the following skills/experience:

  • Creative Thinking
  • Bachelor’s degree, or higher, in Architecture from an accredited institution
  • 3+ years of experience in an architectural office is preferred
  • Advanced Revit capabilities is required
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp and Photoshop is also desired
  • Willingness to participate in a variety of functions of a small architectural office
  • Desire to continue to build the firm, collaborate and learn
  • Organizational and communication skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
