Awards Committee

Help plan and conduct the annual Excellence in Architecture Awards Program.

NH AEER TF (NH Architects & Engineers Emergency Response Task Force)

Paul Hemmerich, AIA, President NH AEER TF; Bob Champagne PE, Vice President NH AEER TF
The NH Architects & Engineers Emergenc Response TF (NH AEER TF)  trains and encourages architects and engineers to use their skills to help communities recover from disasters. Paul and Jonathan have been trained and certified in disaster assistance and serve as our state coordinators. When disasters occur, these coordinators contact local building and emergency management departments, lead volunteer AIA members, conduct structural assessments and document damage. If you wish to be a volunteer on the disaster assistance team please call the office or contact Paul Hemmerich for more information about training and participation. We currently have over 30 trained voluneers. Contact Paul Hemmerich

Education Committee

Help develop and carry out the various aspects of the Learning By Design Program. Volunteers help develop curriculum and work in classrooms.

Emerging Professionals Network

This committee addresses the concerns and issues of those enrolled in the NCARB AXP program and the professional development of architectural interns and provides development activities and programs for young architects, including, but not limited to, design competitions, tours, workshops, presentations and mentorship.

COTE - Committee on the Environment

The COTE works to promote good sustainable design and development in the State. It presents the annual Integrated Design/Integrated Development Conference and other events and programs that promote "Green Building."

Fellowship and Honors

This committee helps determine applicants and mentors for AIA Fellowship, and suggests possibilities for Honorary Membership and special recognition.

Legislative Affairs

Michael McKeown, AIA, Chair
This committee monitors legislative activity related to the building industry, discusses bills, and will testify at state legislative committee hearings, write letters to state representatives, etc.

Programming and Continuing Education

The Programming Committee develops and plans the AIANH monthly meetings and daytime seminars.

Communications & Outreach

This group works to promote public awareness of AIANH, architects, and architecture as well as AIANH membership development.
