Join the AIANH Emerging Professionals for the second of four (4) planned building tours following the transformation of a traditional, century old residence hall into a modern, technology-rich interior that appeals to today's college student, all while maintaining the building's original historic character. Lead by Lavallee Brensinger Architects, this is a four-part tour series that will run through 2024 with subsequent tours highlighting key moments in the transformation.  2024 dates are to be determined as construction milestones are reached and admission to the building is allowed.  Registrants will be notified well in advance. 

Learning Objectives:

Learn how to evaluate 100 year old construction methods and materials, to understand an existing material's suitability for reuse, and the affects of new building systems on old materials.Learn how to design and detail modern, energy code compliant building insulation and envelope systems within the framework of a century old multiple wythe masonry building. Learn how to select, coordinate and detail modern code compliant MEP systems within the framework of a century old multiple wythe masonry building.Register once for the remaining tours.

AIA member architects - $45 for next three tours
Non-member professionals - $60 for next three tours
Emerging Professionals are defined as all students, Associate AIA members and Architects licensed under 10 years.
